TheSuzuki Grand Vitara is something of an enigma. Despite having been around more or less since 2005 β it was facelifted in 2008 just after Suzuki re-entered the South African market β it does not immediately spring mind when thinking soft-roaders (average sales over the last six months is 34 but it is picking up).
The2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara has been known to experience issues with the automatic transmission, specifically with the transmission slipping or failing to engage
Begentle with the brake pedal. With that in mind, the front disc pads will take a toll the most especially if the Suzuki XL7 is in full seating capacity. Normally, brake pads tend to last around 35,000 to 90,000 km, or around one year and a half to four years of ownership. Meanwhile, brake discs last longer than brake pads.

Apretty decent car. 12 years later, it is still working. Some things have had to get fixed but all in all a great car even though we live in the north where it snows most of the year. Overall. 3.0. Comfort 3/5. Performance 3/5. Fuel Economy 3/5. Interior Design 3/5.
